Stormhaven, or rather N’Ume, is a fictional world that I’ve been working on for some years – not in the intense way that I have during the past year, but the ideas have been percolating for a while. At first I thought that the stories I wrote would take the form of a graphic novel and then I thought about writing a straight text novel. Now I’ve decided that I’m not writing any sort of novel and that the stories, and any other material that, I produce for the Chronicles are part of a ‘world-in-progress’. It is a world to which I want to invite readers and other writers and creators of any sort.
N’Ume is a world in which I play with ideas and philosophies and develop my storytelling skills. And the story develops as my ideas and skills develop, so there will be some inconsistensies and between earlier and later stories. In some cases I will go back and make changed to earlier stories in order to attempt consistency.
